Old Dairy Wedding // Sophie & Matt
East London isn’t short of amazing, urban spaces to hold a wedding, and The Old Dairy is no exception. As the name suggests, it used to house the dairy cows that grazed on the Hackney marshes down the road. These days, it plays host to film shoots, photography shoots, and of course, weddings. The space itself is large, with quirky side rooms, lots of concrete floors and white walls. A blank canvas for couples to dress up – or down- to suit their taste. Matt & Sophie chose to leave the space fairly neutral, with just some simple flowers & fairy lights hanging from the ceilings. They also had a simple, ivy clad copper arch to say their vows under.
Dinner was served at long, rustic wooden tables dressed simply with flowers and candles. It was a relaxed afternoon with good food and wine and all the couples family and friends celebrating with them. Some favourites from Matt & Sophie’s Old Dairy Wedding are below.
London is full of unique, industrial wedding venues such as this one. They are the perfect blank canvas for couples to put their own personal taste into the wedding. If you like this Old Dairy Wedding, you might also like this West Reservoir Centre Wedding as it has the same industrial venue vibe.
