Gosfield Hall Wedding

Gosfield Hall // Charlotte & Steve

Charlotte and Steve’s Gosfield Hall wedding took place in Januray 2020 and was my first wedding of the year. It’s not the first time I have photographed a wedding at Gosfield Hall and it’s a venue I really love. The rooms are very different from each other which makes for an interesting and varied backdrop for my style of documentary wedding photography. The room where the bride gets ready is light and bright and has infinity mirrors. The downstairs ceremony room features a tiled floor, painted ceiling, ornate fireplace and lots of light flooding through the floor to ceiling windows. The room where the drinks reception takes place is dark, panelled wood, which I love. And finally, the dining room is stunning: wood panelling, huge chandeliers, and huge mirrors.

As you’d expect from a winter wedding in a mansion house such as this, the fires were lit, and it was very cosy. Despite being winter, the venue has such great light, which is so important for photography. Dinner in the ballroom was particularly cosy and the light was gorgeous. Charlotte and Steve had a ‘sweetheart table’ for dinner; something I don’t see a lot of at weddings, but an idea that I really love.
