Hotel du Vin Wedding

Weddings Hotel du Vin //  Alison & Richard

We are now enjoying the British summertime, despite the sun not having put in much of an appearance so far. At the start of June I made the short journey over to Hotel du Vin in Tunbridge Wells for Alison and Richard’s wedding. I have photographed at this lovely hotel before but only for the bridal preparations, whereas this wedding had the ceremony and the reception all under the same roof. The hotel itself is in a stunning grade II listed building, which was built in 1762, and the Speyside Glenlivet room where the wedding took place overlooks the hotel gardens and Calverley Park. The weather remained dry so guests were able to enjoy some champagne in the lovely gardens before the dinner in the beautiful mirrored dining room. After dinner, speeches took place, and with some bets having been placed on how long the speakers would talk for, somebody would have been in the money. The evening party kicked off with Alison and Richard’s first dance, then the guests partied to a live band.
