Wedding at The Peasant / Rebecca & James
On the blog today, a wedding at The Peasant and Hackney Town Hall. Rebecca and James both got ready at the Zetter Hotel before taking taxis to the town hall. The ceremony was held in the Committee Room, a beautiful wood panelled room with lovely light. Following the ceremony, guests boarded a Routemaster for the short journey to The Peasant. Situated on a crossroads in Clerkenwell, this beautiful Victorian pub is a great wedding reception venue. It has a stunning upstairs dining room which is light and airy and hung with colourful artworks, as well as stunning mosaic tiles. Look into its history and you’ll find it gets its name from the Peasant’s Revolt in 1381. It’s now just a very fine place to eat, drink and celebrate your wedding. As a venue for a London pub wedding, it’s a great choice. With the wedding being in June, the weather was warm, so everyone enjoyed some drinks outside on the pavement before heading inside for the wedding meal and speeches. The evening party took place in the downstairs bar, with cake and dancing. Some favourites from Rebecca and James’s wedding at The Peasant are below.
