Newland Hall Wedding Photography // Emily & Guy
I was very happy to be asked to photograph Emily and Guy’s Newland Hall wedding in Essex, having been recommended to the couple by Jess, Emily’s bridesmaid, who’s own wedding celebrations I photographed last year. It is always nice to see some familiar faces and catch up with the family and friends of the couple. Emily got ready a short distance away from Newland Hall, at the Marygreen Manor hotel, along with her mum and bridesmaid Jess. The girls sipped champagne whilst they were getting ready, before making the journey to the ceremony venue where Guy and their guests were waiting. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed champagne and canapés, whilst listening to some great music courtesy of one talented chap and his steel drums. Newland Hall has a wonderful old red brick barn in its grounds and this was where I chose to take Emily and Guy for a few informal portraits. Dinner was served in the marquee and interspersed by speeches. Guy’s own speeches was rather heartfelt and tugged on the heart strings of a number of the wedding guests, including Emily. It is always nice to see a groom who is not afraid to show his emotions on his wedding day. The couple were holding their evening celebrations in a local pub, so after dinner, I bid them farewell as they zoomed off into the spring evening in a lovely white vintage Rolls.
