Such great light and the buzz of everybody finishing work for Christmas to enjoy their short break, all added to the sheer joy of documenting Lisa and Sam’s wedding in central London. I knew from the first enquiry I received from Lisa that this was going to be a great wedding. With Sam being a Captain in the Parachute Regiment and Lisa working in the fashion industry, this wedding was bound to be full of class with a little chic thrown in for good measure. The day started off at the May Fair Hotel with a few pictures of preparation and some detail shots before heading in a black cab over to The Old Marylebone Town Hall in Westminster…. a favourite wedding venue for many wedding photographers for its iconic steps and pillars outside. As we arrived a little early for the ceremony, Lisa and her Dad thought it would be a great opportunity to stop off for a quick pint… I, of course, had nothing to do with this decision. My job is just to follow :-). Meanwhile over at Westminster Registry office as its also known, Sam was keeping a brave face on supporting the arm and shoulder that earlier that week he damaged due to a cycling accident. Lets just say, by the time I got to seem him, he was very nervous and very happy in equal measure. After a wonderful meal at L’ Autre Pied on Blandford street, it was a short taxi ride back to The Mayfair’s Penthouse suite for drinks and dancing. A great couple and truly a great pleasure to photograph their May Fair Hotel wedding.
