Islington Town Hall Weddings // Rachel & Linton
This was a short coverage for me, as with many Islington Town Hall weddings, I usually document the wedding day from start to finish. However, when you have such a small, intimate wedding in London, some couples feel they don’t necessarily need a wedding photographer for the whole day. I arrived late afternoon in London Fields to meet Linton and Rachel before they headed off in a cab to Islington Town Hall, ready for their 18:30 ceremony, where they were to be married in front of their closest family and friends. After the early evening ceremony and a few drinks inside the town hall, we shot a couple of portraits outside the usually bustling town hall (much quieter at this later hour). We hopped on a bus to the fantastic Frederick’s restaurant just down the road on Camden Passage, where the wedding party would continue their celebrations. I love these small, intimate weddings; I turned up and took a few photos with minimal fuss and left the wedding party to enjoy each others company in celebration of two people in love coming together to be one… the simple uncomplicated story.
