Great Barn Wedding // Nicky & Oliver
A sunny Saturday in August, and I headed over to Ruislip for the Great Barn wedding of Nicky and Oliver. My day started photographing Nicky and her bridesmaids getting ready at home, and Nicky’s waterproof mascara was put through its paces as a love note from Oliver had her reaching for the Kleenex. The boys had some pre ceremony beers in the local pub, The Duck House, before making their way over to St Martin’s Church, looking summery in their yellow ties which complemented the girls sunflower bouquets. A black cab delivered the stunning bride, and the ceremony got under way. Once it was all official, the newlyweds made a dash through the confetti, and everyone headed over to the Great Barn where the reception took place. Whilst guests enjoyed canapes and champagne, I took the opportunity to take some portraits of Nicky and Oliver in the lovely late afternoon golden sunshine, my favourite light for couple’s portraits. On to dinner, speeches and the cutting of the cake, before the couple took to the floor for their first dance.
