St. Stephen’s Trust Wedding // Lauren & Sandy
Lauren and Sandy had their St. Stephen’s Trust wedding in Hampstead on a lovely sunny day. This stunning, Grade 1 Listed Building is a deconsecrated church and a great venue for weddings – with pools of natural light, ornate windows and warm tones, it creates an impressive backdrop for the day. Both the ceremony and location were held at St Stephen’s and my coverage started just before the ceremony and the arrival of Lauren, who looked stunning in a short sleeved lace dress. The dress had originally belonged to Lauren’s grandmother, and had been adapted and altered to create a unique dress for Lauren, whilst retaining the meaning and symbolism for both the bride and her grandfather, who was present on the day. After the ceremony the newlyweds had baskets full of confetti chucked at them (quite literally) before mingling with their families and friends outside and enjoying some canapés. Dinner was enjoyed back inside the church, and interspersed with speeches, including a risqué slideshow which had the groom blushing and everyone else laughing. Fortunately, St Stephen’s has a large dance floor as come evening, it was packed – a ceilidh always gets everyone involved and there was plenty of flinging about going on.
